CMe Solutions Oy, a Finnish automation and software expert, has in co-operation established SkyFuel Solutions Oy, specializing in the design, implementation, and maintenance of demanding fuel distribution systems. The new company brings together mechanical design and electrical automation expertise, offering the market a unique, comprehensive solution for both civil and defense applications.
– SkyFuel directly supports our ongoing product development, where a new solution to serve both civilian and defense fueling operations will be launched in 2026, says Marko Miettinen, CEO of CMe Solutions. – For customers, this means a seamless, fully functional system regardless of which company leads the delivery.
SkyFuel and CMe now form a comprehensive partnership: CMe handles electrical automation, installations, and programming, while SkyFuel is responsible for mechanical design, implementation, and component supply.
Meeting a growing market demand
SkyFuel was founded in response to the growing global demand for advanced fueling systems, driven by geopolitical changes and the need for secure, efficient solutions across land, sea, and air.
– We have exceptional expertise in customized fuel systems, especially for aviation and marine industries where standards are extremely high, says Tuomas Vihonen, CEO of SkyFuel Solutions. – There’s no equivalent provider in the Nordics, and we wanted to make our expertise easily accessible for companies with specialized fueling needs.

The decision to found SkyFuel Solutions grew naturally from years of successful collaboration between CMe and its partners.
– The idea came up spontaneously in a conversation with Mikko and Tuomas. We had already completed several successful fuel distribution projects together and realized the strength of our combined expertise, Miettinen recalls.
Technology and standards at a global level
SkyFuel actively follows international fuel system standards and utilizes Energy Institute (EI) and Joint Inspection Group (JIG) guidelines in its design and quality processes. Projects are modeled in 3D when needed, ensuring precision and compliance with the latest requirements.
CMe complements this by providing advanced automation and programming expertise, ensuring that electrical and mechanical systems work seamlessly together.
The expansion also opens new career and partnership opportunities within CMe and SkyFuel.
